We are the farmers' market

We are the farmers’ market that stayed in Sunset Valley! Comprised of dozens of veteran farmers that have been serving the Sunset Valley community for several years, this farmers’ market is now run by Sustainable Food Center (SFC) - because the farmers asked us to.

When you walk through the Sunset Valley farmers’ market in the tree-lined path just a few feet from where it was previously located in the Toney Burger Center, take note of the valued, and dedicated farmers and vendors that are a part of this farmers’ market in Sunset Valley. You can find more complete listings, and information on the SFC Farmers’ Market website here

The SFC (Sustainable Food Center) Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley is part of SFC’s mission to cultivate a healthy community by strengthening the local food system and improving access to local, nutritious, affordable food. SFC is a local non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. SFC has been involved in getting locally grown food to local family tables in the Austin area since 1975. The SFC Farmers Market, including locations at Downtown, Sunset Valley, and The Triangle is the largest certified* growers-only farmers’ market in the state, with more than 110 farmers and other vendors.

*The SFC Farmers’ Market is not only certified by the Texas Department of Agriculture, but also by the more rigorous Texas Certified Farmers Market Corporation, a statewide professional agricultural trade organization that requires farmers’ markets to have 51% or more farmers at their markets.
